The first calendar of the 2022 Trial World Championship has been published. And with it several novelties. The first, that after two seasons with practically consecutive calls and concentrated in just a couple of months, the world championship stretches a little more, reaching 4 months, where a total of 6 Grands Prix will be held.
The big surprise is that Spain, the birthplace of this sport, will not host any scoring event for the 2022 World Championship.
THE WORLD CUP RETURNS TO MOTEGI
After two seasons without visiting Japan, Motegi will host the start of the 2022 Trial World Championship, between May 20 and 22. A few weeks later, on June 11 and 12, the calendar begins its most frenetic stage, with four Grands Prix in just five weeks. Andorra, France, Belgium and Germany will be visited.
Then there will be a summer break until September 16, when Italy will host the last GP of the season.
THE E-TRIAL CATEGORY DISAPPEARS
From this year 2022, electric motorcycles will compete fully in the Trial World Championship. There will not be a specific category, but they may be present in the rest of the categories along with Q2 and Q4.
