The first calendar of the 2023 Trial World Championship has been published. And with it several novelties. The first, that after three seasons with practically consecutive calls and concentrated in just four months, the world championship stretches a little more, reaching 6 months, where a total of 7 Grands Prix will be held, one more than in 2022.
Another novelty is that all the GPs will be held over two days, so that we will have a total of 14 scoring races in TrialGP and Trial2.
The TrialGP women will compete in a total of 5 GPs will travel to Motegi, while the Trial3 riders will not go out of Europe and will compete in 6 GPs, that is, all except the Japanese GP.
IT ALL STARTS IN ARTEIXO
After the successes in the Spanish Trial Championship and the Classic Trial Cup, the Motoclub Motomontañismo Arteixo has launched itself to organize its first round of the Trial World Championship, with the challenge of opening the 2023 season. It will take place between April 14 and 16 in this town in A Coruña.
From Arteixo, just a week later, the World Championship caravan will travel to Gouveia, Portugal, where the 2021 Trial of Nations was already held.
THE WORLD CUP RETURNS TO MOTEGI
After three seasons without visiting Japan, Motegi will host the start of the 2023 Trial World Championship, between May 19 and 21.
On June 9, the 2023 Trial World Championship returns to Europe with the celebration of the San Marino GP in Baldasserrona, and the following week it will travel to Andorra, the country of the Pyrenees, to compete in the fifth Grand Prix of the season.
A month later, between June 21 and 23, the event will be in Sestriere for the Italian GP, which will be the penultimate round for this edition of the world championship, which will close between September 1 and 3 in Vertolaye, France.
