The CET kicks off in Arteixo with Adam Raga as the first leader

The 2022 Spanish Trial Championship has kicked off in Arteixo, A Coruña. The first two scoring races for this CET season have been held there. Under an absolutely impeccable organization, the MC Arteixo has prepared a technical but affordable route for all levels, with hardly any waits for the pilots and first-class logistics.

In the sporting field we have Adam Raga as the new leader of the CET, after winning the second day and climbing the podium on Saturday, behind Jaime Busto, who on the other hand on Sunday climbed to the third box. Positive surprise for Jorge Casales on Saturday, who in his debut with Scorpa was third. On Sunday, the surprise was Gabriel Marcelli, who climbed to second place after a difficult first day, where he could only finish fourth.

Bad weekend for Miquel Gelabert, sixth both days behind his brother; his initial condition was to be one of the favourites for victory, as demonstrated by his pace in CET 2021.

A start to the championship that makes it clear that there will be an exciting fight for the title, with several favourite riders. We highlight the regularity of Raga and Busto, as well as the surprise of seeing Casales with a good rhythm on his Scorpa. Marcelli did his homework on Sunday and leaves a good feeling in the mouth outdoors.

DECLARATIONS

adam raga (P2 & P1)"I'm very happy with the weekend in general. Yesterday I made a few too many mistakes that prevented me from being higher up, but today we got the victory by polishing those details. Very satisfied with the bike, the team and the form. There's a big rivalry, so it's up to us to keep working in this direction to maintain the results."

GABRIEL MARCELLI (P4 & P2)"I'm very happy with today's result and it gives a good taste to the weekend. I didn't like Saturday, but with second place I'm happy and we're back home happy. But we also have to be realistic: we want more. I'm much better from the injury, almost recovered. Today I felt some discomfort on the second lap, but we're going to get better. Rest will be good for you. And it will also be good to analyse how this weekend has gone because, while it has been positive in general terms, there are always some details to correct. As I say: we are happy, satisfied with third place in the general standings, but we will prepare to go back on the attack, even stronger."
