Gabriel Marcelli had a heavy crash in the fourth section of the X-trial in Madrid, where he took second place overall after a heroic end to the race. A subsequent medical examination has determined that Marcelli completed the last two sections of the course with a broken foot.
In the tests carried out last week in Barcelona by the team doctor, Dr. Joaquim Terricabras, a non-displaced marginal fracture of the base of the first metatarsal of the right foot was observed, performing conservative treatment that allowed his participation in the X-Trial of Barcelona.
IT IS EXPECTED THAT HE WILL BE ABLE TO RUN THE CET 2022 IN ARTEIXO
The evolution of the injury will mark Gabriel Marcelli’s return to training, although the Repsol Honda Team rider is expected to participate in the inaugural round of the Spanish Trial Championship that will take place in the Galician town of Arteixo on the 23rd and 24th of this month April.
