Time he retired in 2020

Dibsta, as he is known by his fans, announced his retirement in 2020 through the following statement:

Fans, friends and family. The time has come to inform you that I am retiring from the Trial World Championship at a professional level. This has not been an easy decision to make, but one that I have taken with a smile on my face because I know it is the right time to retire.

From a very young age I have been able to live my dream of becoming a professional trial rider and all thanks to my amazing peers, for sacrificing everything to help me on this crazy journey.

When I look back, almost two decades competing in the world championships, it fills me with pride to have achieved what I have and to have met and worked with some of the most incredible people in our sport. There are too many names to mention, but I’m sure everyone knows who they are, so I want them to know that I will forever be indebted to them.

I’m sure I’ll see you all back in the paddock soon, but for now it’s a fond farewell. Thank you all, I wish you all the best. Cheers. Dibos.”
