Jaime Busto wins in Asturias and is the new leader of the Spanish Trial Championship

The second round of the Spanish Trial Championship, where all the categories were summoned, has been a success in the organizational field and welcomed in number of entries.

With more than 177 riders, the Motoclub Asomo had a difficult task ahead of it. On the one hand, in terms of marking, since a good part of the areas ran through rivers or places with low traction. And on the other hand, the added difficulty of the weather conditions, since it rained on the previous day and also during the night, leaving the areas with a lot of mud and little traction.

"Gelabert adds his second podium, but it is Busto who leads the provisional classification of the Spanish Championship."

GELABERT AND BUSTO STAND OUT IN THE FIRST LAP

Of the twelve proposed zones, there were two of them that were very difficult for TR1s: zones five and ten. And also two easier ones, which coincided with the first ones on the route. This left a total of 8 zones where the drivers could really make a difference.

Both Miquel Gelabert and Jaime Busto were the best in zones 7 and 8, thus achieving a small lead at the end of the first lap. The GASGAS rider was one point ahead of the Vertigo rider, with Raga three points behind, and Marcelli one more. At this point in the race, Jorge Casales had already dropped off the

BUS’S CHANGE OF PACE, MARCELLI IMPROVES AND IS SECOND

On the second pass through the zones, all the riders improved their first splits. The fact that the weather was more favourable and a more settled line began to be created, meant that the classification took a turn.

On the one hand, Jaime Busto, who signed a spectacular card of only 12 points, while Gelabert, his greatest rival, choked on zones 7 and 8, distancing himself from the head.

The second best partial was in charge of Marcelli, who with only 12 points managed to overtake Raga and Gelabert in the classification, finishing second in the race. Third place for Gelabert, who confirms his good form.

Adam Raga misses out on the podium by just one point. More mistakes than usual in both laps prevent the reigning Spanish Champion from recovering ground in the general classification. Another rider who didn’t have a good weekend either was Jorge Casales, who didn’t find the race rhythm until the second lap, where there was already little room to climb positions in the standings. In the end, he was fifth. Behind, Aniol Gelabert and Gerard Trueba.

Alex Mediña, Miguel Revilla and Joan Miquel García occupied the boxes of honour of Cadete and Jordi Ramonet, Diego Urreta and Joan Ricart of TR4.

Marcos Combarro won in Juvenil A making a great Trial. Arnau Maura and Ángel Llopis had to settle for second and third, respectively. Javier Terrín was the protagonist of Juvenil B. Joan Mir finished second and Jorge García third.

Carles Casas, Eduardo Álvarez and Iñigo Lázaro climbed to the podium of Veteran A and Juan C. Maurer, José M. Ruiz and Mikel Lertxundi in Veteran B.

Berta Abellán wins in Women’s

Berta Abellán and Sandra Gómez offered a beautiful duel in the highest category of Women’s TR1. The Catalan scored 69 points while the Madrid native 74.

In Women’s TR2 Idoia Pey won with Laia Pi second and Mariona Tasias third. Daniela Hernando overtook the rest of her rivals in the Women’s TR3, leaving Alexia Lladó and María Font behind.
