James Dabill announces his retirement after two decades as a professional driver

James Dabill, one of the top ten riders in the Trial World Championship and one of the best Britons in the history of the sport, unexpectedly announces his retirement as a professional rider at the age of 34.

JAMES DABILL: Dear fans and friends. The day has come to inform you of my retirement from the Trial World Championship and as a professional rider. It's been a tough decision to make, but I feel like it's the right time to retire and I'm smiling. Since I was young I have lived the dream of becoming a professional trial rider and all thanks to my parents for their great sacrifice. If I look back, after two decades competing in the World Championships, it fills me with pride to have achieved what I have and to have known and worked with great people. There are many people to mention and thank for all the support received. I hope to see you soon in the paddock, but now it's time to give you a fond farewell."
