A new edition of the Trial of Nations is just around the corner and this one, if possible, is much more interesting for Spaniards since it is held in Ibiza. Its wonderful landscapes, its light and the life that surrounds the island will be the best possible location for our three male representatives to revalidate, once again, the title of champions. For the women, they will become the best opportunity to climb to the first step of the podium.
Bou, Raga and Fajardo go for another win
Toni Bou (Montesa), Adam Raga (TRRS) and Jeroni Fajardo (Gas Gas) will form the Spanish squad in Ibiza to continue being the best in the Trial of Nations. Right now Spain has 25 first places and since 2004 it has not come down from the top step of the podium.
Our country is the best cradle of Trial and the numbers prove it. The Spanish riders always dominate the general classifications of the competitions in which they participate and Ibiza will see how Bou, Raga and Fajardo fight until the last section to keep this way. All three are primed and ready for glory.
Abellán, Murcia and Gómez, women’s team
In the case of the girls, the three selected are Berta Abellán (Vertigo), Neus Murcia (Gas Gas) and Sandra Gómez (TRRS). They are all having a very good season both in the World Championship, where Berta and Sandra have achieved numerous podiums, and in the Spanish Championship where Neus remains the firm leader of the highest category by winning all the races held.
In 2018 the three were on the verge of victory and had to settle for second in the TDN held in the Czech Republic, but in everyone’s mind is the victory in 2017 in Baiona with Abellán, Gómez and María Giró as representatives of Spain.
With the return of the event to our country, they will fight to win and do a double with the men’s team.
