The trial bike is an excellent complement to the trial bike, especially when we refer to the little ones, since they can start to develop techniques on the bike, with much less weight, which they will then apply on the bike. For example, changes in direction or balance. In addition, in a small space and with just a few minutes, you can practice every day.
At Clean Trials they are aware that children are starting to get into it earlier, something that favors the diversity of mechanics and sizes that we find in children’s motorcycles.
Following that example, the Clean Trials S18 Start was born: “my first trial bike”.
With a distance of 740mm and 18″ wheels, this children’s trial bike is the best option to start the first journey of the little ones in the discipline of dynamic balance. The recommended ages are between 4 and 8 years old.

We took charge of them with Alejandra and Nicolás. The first with more experience and 6 years; the second with just 4 years and only experience on a traditional bike.
When they get behind the wheel of a trial bike for the first time, the first thing they need is to get used to always riding it standing up, without a seat. Hence, the adaptation period is necessary to understand the geometry of these bikes.
Once you’ve overcome it, it’s a joy to have fun at the controls. Effectively, they don’t pick up speed, which favors the instinct of children to have fun maneuvering, playing with balance or looking to climb places where perhaps you would not consider with the traditional bike.
The overall performance and behavior is excellent. We only point out as a point for improvement that, perhaps, the cranks are long and if the foot is very long (unusual in children), it could touch the foot with the front wheel when turning or shifting.
On the plus side, everything else. Value for money, good components and robustness. It is interesting to see how Clean has transferred his knowledge of competition and adult models to a bike designed for children and the initiation to bike trials.
