Toni Bou wins in the flood of Pobladura

Up to 12 categories will meet this Saturday and Sunday at the Permanent Trial Circuit of Pobladura de las Regueras. The small municipality in the province of León has the honour of having the best riders in the discipline who have given their all in the areas marked by the organization, CD Pobladura R, a specialist in doing this type of races.

The rain was the protagonist this morning. The riders have woken up to a real deluge that has forced them to modify the areas to make them a little more accessible and to be able to carry out the Trial without many incidents. In the second half of the season it didn’t rain and the sun came out, which meant that there were fewer fiascos and points in all categories and that the day went normally.

Despite the water, so characteristic in the Bierzo area, the public did not want to miss the race and went to the areas closest to the paddock.
With two very different laps, in TR1 Toni Bou won with quite a few points over his rivals and was accompanied on the podium by Jaime Busto and Adam Raga. In the Women’s category, where the title will be decided tomorrow, Berta Abellán was the best, in category A, with Neus Murcia and María Giró as second and third respectively.

DECLARATIONS
Toni Bou:

Looking ahead to the championship, this race went very well, today. This morning they changed some of the areas because of the rain, and it was easy to miss. I was able to take a bit of an advantage on the first lap and also on the second, where I was able to fine-tune more. Good victory, and very important for the championship. Tomorrow we will have another race here, and we will see how the route turns out, if the rain affects it or stays like this. I’m very happy with today’s result.
