Miquel Gelabert, official GasGas rider in 2021: “It’s a dream come true”

GasGas has confirmed the incorporation of Miquel Gelabert, a rider who has already competed for the brand in the 2020 season, to the official team.

Miquel, who
resigned by mutual agreement with Vertigo
at the start of the 2020 season, ended up riding a
GasGas TXT GP 300
with factory support, but within a satellite team. With an eighth position at the end of the season and a fifth place as his best result in the race, Miquel has achieved one of his great pending accounts: consistency.

In 2021, in the direct heart of the factory team, he will seek to get closer to the podium positions more assiduously. One of the key players in the management of this incorporation is
Albert Cabestany, GasGas’ new Team Manager
from this 2021 season.

Miquel Gelabert (GasGas): "In keeping with the KTM philosophy, we've signed for one year and I'm very happy about that. I feel that I am not so alone, from the first moment you can see a lot of seriousness and professionalism, which increases my demand as a rider even more. Without a doubt, being part of the GasGas team has been a dream come true since I was a child. I'm very motivated for this season, as I have the bike and the level to be at the front, as well as the confidence. I hope to do a great job and surprise in competition."
