Torrot moves its headquarters from Girona to Zaragoza

The company, which expects to close this year with sales of 40 million, maintains its production plant in Salt (Girona).

Torrot, the company that rescued Gas Gas from bankruptcy, has decided to move its headquarters from Salt, a municipality next to the city of Girona, to Zaragoza, specifically, to Doctor Casas street.
This company is Spain’s leading manufacturer of motorcycles. For this financial year, it expects to have a turnover of 40 million euros and has just presented a new vehicle, the velocipede, which will be built in the old Tabacalera plant in Cadiz.
The company that has moved from Catalonia to Aragon is Torrot Electric Europa, the parent company of the manufacturer of motorcycles, bicycles and, from next spring, velocipedes. This change does not affect the Salt production plant or the marketing offices they have in Mataró (Barcelona).
The move, which was published this Friday in the Commercial Registry, has been confirmed by the company, which is controlled by Black Toro Capital (BTC) – with 62% – and which is owned by Iván Contreras, its CEO, who owns the remaining 38%.
The company declined to comment further. Sources close to the manufacturer attribute the decision to the complex political context in the community, with legal uncertainty.
