Miquel Gelabert European Trial Champion 2016

The Spanish rider
Miquel Gelabert
(Sherco) has been proclaimed European Trial Champion in the highest category after achieving victory on the second day of competition held in Grossheubach (Germany).
Miquel also managed to win in Italy, the Czech Republic and in this last event on German soil, something that added to his great consistency has allowed him to inherit the continental throne that the Italian Gianluca Tournour achieved last year.
This title also marks the return of a Spanish rider to the top of the podium in this competition, something that has not happened since 2007 with Dani Gibert.
According to Miquel Gelabert: “This title has given me another push to keep working even harder to be able to fight with the best in the world! I already work a lot, but sometimes it’s hard to keep pushing to the maximum when things get complicated, and something like this gives you a very positive motivation, and even more so being able to win as I did, with a wide advantage, and in the last race there were many points left to second and third, nothing more and nothing less than 22 points difference between me, Francesc Moret (3 times junior world runner-up) and Iwan Roberts (3 junior world qualifier 2015)”
