BIOGRAPHY OF JORGE CASALES

Jorge Casales was born in 1995 in Vigo (Galicia). From a very young age, motorcycles were the object around which his life revolved. His father Angel, one of the figures of the Trial in Galicia, gave him his first motorcycle when he was only two and a half years old, it was a Yamaha pw 50 to which they had to adapt some training wheels so that Jorge could reach the ground.
Jorge combined his two great passions, motorbike and bicycle. It was with the bike that the father began to observe a special talent in Jorge and decided to stop competing to help him in training and races.

He made his debut at the age of 10 in the Asturias Youth Championship and two years later he was proclaimed Cadet Champion in Galicia. In 2008, he managed to win the Spanish Youth Championship and a year later he made the leap to the cadet category getting his second national title.
In 2010 he achieved what for him is the most important victory of his career. It was in Italy in 2010 and he managed to become champion in the first race of the European Championship. It was his first international victory, with only help from his father.
In 2012, he made his debut in the absolute category of the Spanish Trial Championship, finishing in 6th position.
In 2013 he decided to dedicate himself professionally to trial, moving to Barcelona and signing for the Gas Gas factory team for a period of 5 years. It was this same year when he lifted the Junior World Championship, entering history as the first rider to achieve it at just 18 years old.

In 2015 Jorge decided to amicably terminate the contract he had with Gas Gas due to the financial problems that the brand was going through and signed with the Italian brand Beta for two seasons to race the World Championship, the Spanish Championship and the British Championship.
He made his debut at the World Championships in Japan with a creditable seventh place. During this race, he suffered a fall in zone 9 that would make him go under the knife and go through a tough three-month recovery that would force him to miss three rounds of the World Championship and one round of the Spanish Championship. Once recovered from the injury, Casales reappeared strongly climbing the podium of the absolute category of the Rhode Island World Championships.
