Dougie Lampkin continues to make history in Trial. In addition to his 12 world titles, he won his ninth victory in the most legendary race in the history of the sport, the Scottish Six Days Trial.
For Lampkin, this ninth victory is even more special, as he has also done it at the controls of the Vertigo Combat, a motorcycle on which he can be considered as the father of its development and with the added merit of being the first edition of the in which this Spanish bike makes its debut in this demanding competition.
The 2015 edition has not been without complications. In addition to the harsh weather, with rain and cold especially in the first days of the race, on the second day the riders encountered time problems and more than 90% had to add an extra penalty. This fact turned the race around and left great favorites such as James Dabill behind.
Lampkin scored 8 penalty points on that day, but in the following four days of racing he has been really effective.
