Balance of success for the 2015 MotoMadrid Motor Show

MotoMadrid Triala lot of expectation with the celebration of MotoMadrid 2015 and the best forecasts were confirmed. More than 40,000 people visited the fourth edition of the Motorcycle Show, which was held from March 13 to 15, in the Glass Pavilion of the Casa de Campo, and with their attendance ratified that this exhibition, commercial and meeting initiative is fully consolidated in the national motorcycle calendar.

The quality of the exhibition, with the presence of more than 225 exhibitors and nearly 40 motorcycle brands represented; a cast of novelties that led the MV Agusta F4RC as a world premiere and the national Kawasaki H2/H2R; and an intense programme of leisure and entertainment activities, were the ingredients that, combined, have made MotoMadrid reach its historical record of visits in this edition and consolidate its position of full leadership as the largest national event in the industrial and commercial aspects of two wheels.

The success of the public has been accompanied by the success of sales. The exhibitors, who attended this event encouraged by the upticks in sales in recent months, have confirmed to the organization that their estimates in direct sales and commercial contacts had been fulfilled. MotoMadrid 2015 has therefore served to confirm the optimism.

The Motorcycle Trade Show occupied an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, distributed over three floors, which were dedicated to the marketing of products, the generation of commercial contacts between professionals and the promotion of sport, leisure and entertainment linked to the motorcycle world. This edition had as a novelty the programming of a professional conference, which took place on Friday 13th, aimed at promoting business cooperation and which was excellently received in the sector.

In the novelty chapter, the public was able to admire the brand new MV Agusta F4RC in its street version that a few days before arriving in Madrid left the Italian factory of the brand. MV Agusta plans to manufacture only 250 units of this model. The model on display is the street replica of the F4RC with which the brand competes this year in the World Superbike Championship. More than 200 hp. of power endorse this motorcycle that displays an undeniable sporting spirit.

A national first in this event was the Kawasaki Ninja H2 /H2R, its two solutions for street and circuit of this sports bike. A compendium of craftsmanship and technology applied to the world of motorcycles and more than 300 hp. in the most racing version of this model.

MotoMadrid Trial2All the motorcycle brands represented took advantage of this event to present to the public their most innovative proposals for 2015, some of them still pending to start their commercialization. We were able to see the latest from BMW, Harley Davidson, Honda, Suzuki, Benelli, Triumph, Ducati, Yamaha, KTM, Guzzi, Indian, Victory, CF Moto, Leonart, Arctic Cat, Goes, Gas Gas, Scorpa and Serco, among others.

At MotoMadrid 2015 we also learned about the expansion plan in Spain of the Royal Enfield brand and the return to our market of the firm Innocenti, creator of the mythical Lambretta.

Women in the competition. RFME Women’s Commission

In this edition we have the very active participation of the Women’s Commission of the Royal Spanish Motorcycling Federation (RFME), a department that values the work and effort of women in the sport of two wheels.

The girls are gaining ground in the competition and in the framework of Spanish motorcycling, the most important in the world, marking Spanish sport with success. Since its constitution, just a year and a half ago, the RFME Women’s Commission has developed multidisciplinary activities aimed at promoting the sport of motorcycling among women and their sporting success in all disciplines.

In MotoMadrid 2015 the RFME Women’s Commission sponsored the participation of the riders Sandra Gómez, Maria Giró and Berta Abellán in the trial exhibitions and organized a women’s meeting route with start and finish in MotoMadrid, led by the riders Mar Acebes and Judith Obaya.

Parallel activities. Exhibitions and Custom Bike Show.

The Motorcycle Trade Show developed an extensive program of activities aimed at promoting the entertainment of the public and promoting various sports activities. In this sense, stunt exhibitions were organized with the pilot Ángel Campos; trial with the riders Nacho Fernández Sancho, Alex del Olmo and Jesús Martin and minibikes with the champion schools of Lorenzo Competencia Guadalajara and XE Racing Academy.

The audience was the popular jury of the Custom Bike Show, which was attended by thirty transformed motorcycles. With their sovereign vote, the visitors determined that the HD Night Rod Special 2015 on MK2 base would be the winner of this contest. The transformation carried out by Machina Custom Cycles, has a rear single-link that mounts a 280 tire with electromechanical suspension; Kesstech brand homologated exhaust with variable sound; And it has a great work in carbon fiber with ritoma elements.

The parallel program was completed with the exhibition of the 12+1 world titles of the rider Angel Nieto and nine of his world champion bikes; the visit of pilots such as Nieto himself, Wayne Gardner, Julián Simón, Iván Silva, Carlos Cardús, José Luís Espinosa and María Herrera and the adventurers Alicia Sornosa and Miquel Silvestre; safe driving circuits; external routes; Moto GP simulator; Concentrations; and the presentation of teams such as TMM Racing and SW Motorsport.

MotoMadrid has been organized by the company ERMEvents, a company with extensive experience in the organization of trade fair events linked to the world of motoring. This new edition of the Motorcycle Trade Show was sponsored by Mutua Madrileña and the official financier was Alphera.

The Motorcycle Trade Show will once again meet with enthusiasts and professionals in the sector in 2017. It will be from March 11 to 13.
