2015 will be a year of major changes for Trial

The vast majority of 2015 Trial models are already in dealerships. There are only two new brands that will be presented publicly in the coming weeks: Vertigo and TRS. Behind the development of both projects are Dougie Lampkin and Jordi Tarrés, respectively, two of the most successful riders in the history of Trial.

THE SURPRISES

SCORPA TWENTY 2015 – See test –

Regarding the brands that make up the current market, the big surprise is in charge of Scorpa, which in the last decade has remained in the background with a motorcycle full of personality but technically outdated. In 2011 it received a Sherco engine and abandoned its corporate blue in favor of an unprecedented orange that has finished driving the most important evolution of the French brand, materialized in the Scorpa Twenty 2015.

The new Scorpa reminds us of the Sherco, especially mechanically, but with different chassis geometries and more traditional technical solutions – fuel tank at the front and air filter at the rear. Watch

VERTIGO COMBAT CAMO 300 2015 -See new model-

Vertigo has just presented itself as a brand specialized in trial motorcycles with two new models: Camo and Ice Hell. Equipped with a 300cc 2-stroke engine and electronic fuel injection, the new Vertigo has a tubular chassis and represents an important commitment that we will be able to see mass-produced during 2015.

At the other end of the spectrum we have Montesa with her Cota 4RT 260 2015What Continues to rely heavily on valve engines y It offers two versions, the standard and the Race Replica. The 2015 Sherco maintains the line of the 2014 range and incorporates interesting improvements inherited from the Factory model. As in Gas Gas, Sherco has worked with emphasis on the mechanics of the 80 and 125cc engines.

BETA EVO 2015 -See what’s new-

Beta, as usual, has been the latest brand to unveil its plans for 2015. The new range EVO 2015 continues to surprise for being the only one that simultaneously sells 2T and 4T engines, although the latter (available in 250 and 300 displacements) is not promoted in competition nor does it receive important changes compared to its predecessor.

Regarding the Beta EVO 2T, the bulk of the changes are concentrated in its mechanics and improvements in the suspensions.

Beta has just released a limited edition of its EVO 2T: the Beta EVO Factory 2015.

OSSA TR 2015see what’s new-

Ossa, for its part, has presented its fifth generation of the TR, whose particularity remains a mechanic that combines the 2T with electronic fuel injection. The clover brand has a merger agreement with Gas Gas to seek industrial and commercial synergies, but at the moment it is not enough to penetrate more strongly in the market. In the meantime, the range of Ossa 2015 continues with the work of evolution in aspects that are more than seen, felt, such as chassis, injection and other internal components of the engine.

JOTAGAS 2015Vertigo Combat Camo 2015 – see what’s new-

Jotagas is another brand that has been born in the last five years. It burst onto the market with strength and the endorsement of Jordi Tarrés as the father of its development, but the seven-time champion parted ways with the brand last year and since then the only thing that has transcended is the presentation of its 2015 model. The work of Jotagas stands out in that for the first time a standard version is offered and a second more “pro” model called Jotagas Factory R.

The 2015 range will be available in four displacements (125 , 250, 280 and 300) and receives changes mainly in its chassis part.
