EVO Factory 2014 Beta Presentation

As a result of the transalpine brand’s experience in competition, the Beta EVO Factory 2014 was born, which as a novelty this year will be manufactured in three different displacements: 125cc, 250cc and 300cc. As usual, this limited edition called “Factory”, incorporates an important list of improvements and novelties compared to the rest of the EVO range to obtain greater performance both in the chassis and mechanically. The 2014 Beta EVO Factory 300, developed from the 2014 Beta EVO, is the flagship version and is nourished by the specifications that its two official riders, Jeroni Fajardo and James Dabill, use in the Trial World Championship.

NEW BETA EVO FACTORY 2014 ENGINE

* Available in 125cc and 250cc displacements, as well as 300cc, the engines have been manufactured with special attention to component selection and tuning. Magnesium crankcase. Approximately 1.5 kg less weight allows for improved bike travel and, consequently, the feel and dynamics of the ride. * New 12-pole ignition – 110W that guarantees greater electrical power for services. This is particularly beneficial to the electric fan, which thus releases a greater amount of heat, ensuring more stable operating temperatures and performance. In addition, the new ignition is mounted in an inverted position with respect to the standard bike, which allows the rotating masses to be concentrated, for greater agility and greater ease of riding, especially during aerial movements. * New magnesium flywheel cover with stator support function and equipped with a gasket to ensure the watertightness of the flywheel chamber. * In the 2014 Beta EVO Factory, the primary transmission with a 22/69 ratio is again implemented, which allows the torque to be reduced at the clutch. In this way, the pilot can choose between two preload values of the springs (choosing the direction of mounting the spacer), to the advantage of the reduction of the lever effort or the increase of the transmissible torque. * Special clutch discs that increase travel fluidity and actuation precision, ensuring a better lever handling feel. * Oil filling cap in red anodized aluminum. * Red silicone cooling system tubes, made with a technology that associates an extruded core with the traditional bandage, offering better dimensional quality and greater reliability. * External covers and external cover of the cylinder head in black, good for competition. * All displacements are fitted with a titanium exhaust manifold, which is unprecedented in the 250 and 300 versions and allows an increase in torque at low revs. For the 250 and 300 versions, a new, longer muffler has been adopted to ensure better acoustic characteristics and to offer, in combination with the manifold, better handling and greater driving precision.

BETA EVO FACTORY 2014 CHASSIS

Totally new graphic aspect, based on the white color of its frame, combined with new graphics where the main colors are red and blue. The image is completed with some anodized details, such as the chain regulators and handlebar caps, traditionally in Racing red. At the front, shorter tubes to fit the new steering plates, lightweight pumping cartridges and lightened CNC plugs, with extension adjustment side knob. Obviously, all this is accompanied by a dedicated calibration. The pair of legs is assembled with newly designed black anodized CNC steering plates with a reduced weight (-100g), where the Factory logo is reproposed, a guarantee of a cutting-edge product.

SUSPENSIONS

There are no modifications to the front end. At the rear, we find a monoshock equipped with a new yellow spring of reduced weight, preloaded by a new group of ferrules with a containment spacer in plastic material that guarantees less friction, and a new calibration.

BRAKES

Also new is the front brake circuit, which features a new lightweight Braktec master cylinder that gives a more satisfying feel. The set is completed with the classic Factory design discs and the racing look. In addition, the clutch master cylinder has been updated with the new modern design of the brake master cylinder, in harmony with the new frame colour. A strictly limited edition will be released in March.
