Adam Raga and Toni Bou share the victories in Andorra

Bou Outdoor NAC13This Saturday and Sunday the third round of the World Championship for the Pro, Junior and 125cc categories and the first for the Women was held in Sant Julià, Andorra.

If on Saturday the victory went to Adam Raga, on this second day of competition, after three rounds without climbing to the top of the podium, Toni Bou took the victory, beating Adam Raga himself, who, however, continues to lead the general classification with only one point over Montesa.

Today Toni had a magnificent trial with only 5 points. Raga has added 17 and Albert Cabestany 28.

Takahisa Fujinami was fifth, Jeroni Fajardo sixth, Daniel Oliveras seventh and Pere Borrellas fourteenth.

In Junior, Jorge Casales has beaten all his category rivals and returns to Spain with a very important double. He’s only made two points while Jack Sheppard, who was second, 15. Pol Tarrés has qualified third with 17 making only one fiasco. Francesc Moret was fourth, Carles Traviesa thirteenth and Oriol Noguera fourteenth.

In 125cc Nacho Martín was tenth, improving on yesterday’s twelfth position. He has taken 54 penalties, 21 in the first pass and 33 in the second. Nacho Fernández – Sancho has had to retire.

In the Women’s category , Sandra Gómez has once again been among the best, although this time as third. Emma Bristow and Rebekah Cook have outgrown it. The Sherco rider has done a good job and has only penalized 13 times while Cook and Gomez have been much more evenly matched. In fact, Sandra could have been second perfectly. The difference between the two was 4 points.

Next week the Trial World Championship in the Pro, Junior and 125cc categories arrives in Spain, specifically, in Pobladura de las Regueras. For Women, the competition will return on August 31 and September 1 in France.

Adam Raga: “I’m very happy because I rode very well. Yes, I have committed two fiascos that could have been two zeros; Two mistakes, one of them a trajectory and it was a shame. But I still think I had a good trial. I hope to continue in this vein. The most positive thing is not to be at the front of the championship, but to have a good drive, and that’s the way it is right now. I can’t be angry about finishing second.”

Jorge Casales: “The beginning of the season was a bit strange, maybe I was too focused on the Spanish championship and it was a mistake. Now I’m more on the non-stop line and I’m very satisfied with this Andorran GP. Yesterday I went to bed with a lot of enthusiasm and today I started very strong. Even I was impressed with myself. I’ve got my act together and I’m very happy. A lap of a point is a masterful thing. I thank the whole team.”

Toni Bou: “I needed this win, both for what it’s worth in points and for what it represents in terms of confidence at this stage of the championship. It’s not that I lacked confidence, but I do find the new rules uncomfortable. Today I felt very good, I rode calmly and without making mistakes and the result clearly reflects that. It was a very important win.”

Takahisa Fujinami:
“I’m satisfied with my first lap but very disappointed with the second one. I went from seeing myself on the podium to repeating the same result as yesterday. The positive thing is that I’m still third in the general classification. There’s not much more I can say.”
