National Trial Preview in Arnedillo

Bou NAC12This Sunday, April 7th, it is the turn of the fans of La Rioja and surroundings to enjoy a good Trial. The third round of the CET will be held in the town of Arnedillo with the best of the specialty competing. The newly crowned Indoor Trial World Champion, Toni Bou, will be the main protagonist but he will be accompanied by a large number of riders who will do their best to please the public.

MC Calahorra is in charge of the organization of the event and has planned 12 areas for the competition. The paddock, which will open on Friday at 3:00 p.m., will be located in the parking lot of the Municipal Swimming Pools. The practice area, open from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday for the enjoyment of the riders and the public, will be 200 meters from the paddock in a place called Peña La Monja.

Thecategories that will meet in La Rioja are TR1, TR2, TR3, TR4, Junior and Cadete. For TR1 it will be the second race of 2013 but not for the rest of the classes that after Ibiza and Bocairent, have already been held for two. In TR1 Toni Bou is the leader of the general classification with Adam Raga second and Albert Cabestany third. In TR2 Jaime Busto, Carles Traviesa and José María Moral, who won in Bocairent, are the top three in the classification. TR3 is dominated by Marc Horrach, who has taken the victory in the two races disputed. Second is Adrián Artidiello and third Rafael Latorre. Jesús Martín, Roberto Bautista and Mireia Conde are the best, at the moment, of TR4.

The Junior category has Nacho Fernández-Sancho in the lead but tied on points with Arnau Farré. Third is Marc Riba. In Cadet, Marc Miquel, Gabriel Giro and Sergi Farrés are first, second and third, respectively.

With only two races held, all the classifications are very tight in points, so the riders will try to do the best trial they can and thus not drop from the top positions.

On Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., participants will be able to visit the areas and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the verifications will be passed. On Sunday at 08:30h the first driver will start and the action will begin!
