Sherco 2007

The new Sherco 2007 trial bike is the best example of the big bet Sherco is making in the two-wheeled sector. Not only does it boast of being, along with Scorpa and soon Beta, a brand that offers a 2T and 4T version in its catalogue together of the same specialty, but also It is the firm that has worked the most on its models for the 2007 season. with special emphasis on the bulk of components shared by the 2T and 4T, i.e. the chassis part.

The first step has been to modify the geometries of the chassis at the height of the steering tube, with the aim of gaining a greater steering angle compared to the last edition. The steering posts, now machined, are completely new, and in addition to significantly improving the overall look of the bike, they relieve the front end of a good handful of grams.

Another important change has been the Incorporation of a new swingarm, which in addition to being lighter and shorter -7.5mm less-, It has a special treatment that gives it a very functional rough appearance to ensure greater durability, and a successful upper bevel designed to minimize the wear and tear caused by the boots with friction.

In the new range we also find great improvements in the suspension section. At the front, the same Paioli fork from last year is maintained, which debuted bottles with the possibility of adjustment in extension and compression. The tailstock is located in the rear shock absorber, which is still signed by Ollé, but with a completely different configuration that allows the hydraulic extension and preload to be adjusted independently.

Changes have also been made to the braking system; now the classic solid discs give way to Braking discs with wavy profile approved by the FIM, maintaining the previous calipers and pumps signed by AJP.

Its mechanics , which have not been exempt from revision either, have a new cylinder head and other parameters have been modified , such as the design of the hemispherical chamber, or the compression. Completing this preparation is a new exhaust elbow that seeks to optimize the response of the engine in the lower rev range, whose particularity is to be shorter and straighter compared to its predecessor in the last section.

As a final icing on the cake we find the redesign of other less relevant components, such as the rear brake disc protectors, chain guide, swingarm, output sprocket, or the variable diameter handlebar without central reinforcement bar.
