Japanese GP D1: Victories for Bou and Tarres

bou_japon480the trip to Australia, where Toni Bou dominated with an iron fist on both days and reinforced his solid lead, in Japan he has once again taken a giant step towards his ultimate goal: renewing the crown.

The rider from Piera won the first day of the Japanese GP with superb authority. It’s been absolutely intractable. His first pass through the zones, where only one point was left, already left the race in his favor; the rest of his main rivals, Cabestany, Fajardo and Raga, followed him in a beautiful fight with scores ranging between 11 and 14 points. There was little they could do to hunt down Bou, but it was clear that the fight for the two podium places was going to be heart-pounding.

In the second round of the zones, Bou worsened his previous partial, which is logical if we take into account that the previous one was almost perfect. Only a fiasco would be left in the tenth section, the most difficult of the race, where all his main rivals, except Fujinami, would also set this record.

Fajardo, highly motivated after his second place in Australia, flew on this second lap. The rider from Beta only left himself a fiasco in the aforementioned tenth zone and a point in the penultimate zone, achieving an excellent partial of 6 points that gave him a well-deserved second place. Cabestany remained , but achieved the last place on the podium, benefiting from the disastrous second lap of Raga , who scored 7 points more than in the first lap and dropped to the sixth final place, behind Fujinami and Dabill.

pol_tarres450The Japanese rider was unable to greet his fans from the places of honour, but he is sure that tomorrow, on the second day, he will give his all again to achieve the great feat of 2005 and give a victory to the local fans.

In Junior, it was a great day for the Spanish riders. Pol Tarrés, nephew of the most successful rider in history, has won a Grand Prix with the bike that his own uncle designed and that has been riding for barely a year. All this after overcoming a hand injury and missing the entire preseason ahead of the outdoor World Cup. Undoubtedly, the work of Pol himself and the entire Jotagas team is worthy of admiration. We were not wrong when in this article we talked about the potential of the Pol-JTG binomial.

Also noteworthy is the role of Moret , who after scoring a third and second place in Japan, repeats this last place and cuts valuable points from Alexandre Ferrer, the reference in this category.

Tomorrow the races will return with the second day from Japan and in Trialworld you will have all the information, results, statements and we will update the photo galleries.
