passed away on the morning of February 14, 2012 as a result of a heart attack. at the age of 44, leaving an indelible mark on the world of Trial and a family with two children. Officially retired since 2001, Diego combined his work as a Trial delegate in the FIM with that of a Trial teacher in a school with international mobility.

In fact, after his retirement, Diego has continued to participate in trials at the national level and haseven participated in recent editions of the Trial of Nations. He was one of the most outstanding riders in the world in the 80s and 90s, achieving two runner-up finishes in the World Indoor Trial in 1993 and the team victory in 1987.
