Responding to the demand of motor enthusiasts, Ossa launches an extraordinary proposal: the new Ossa Explorer 2012. A direct legacy of the legendary Explorer presented in Paris in 1972, the new Ossa bike maintains its philosophy: A comfortable, very light, easy to ride motorcycle designed to be enjoyed both in the mountains and in the city.
Ossa’s design team signs the new model that will start production in Girona next February. Thus, the new Explorer benefits from the TR280i’s new technology, both in the 2-stroke injection engine and in the chassis. A model that does not exist on the market today, between a “trial” and an enduro, the Explorer maintains its large seat and offers fun, safety and comfort as well as new sensations in its handling and economical maintenance. With a lithium battery, it is also a bike that is comfortable in its starting system: the Injection Start System (ISS) is a manual start that only requires a light kick to start.
On sale in spring
The forecast is that the bike will begin to be distributed in Europe from the month of March to become, in a second phase, to be sold worldwide. Manufactured entirely at the Ossa facilities in Girona, the new Explorer brings high technology to an unprecedented type of motorcycle “We know that the Explorer is a long-awaited bike among Ossa fans and motor enthusiasts. In addition to a clear tribute to the history of the brand, we wanted to bring a high degree of technology to this model. So we keep its philosophy, it also has a two-seater seat for example, but on a technological and aesthetic level it has nothing to do with it. It is a proposal to have fun, to enjoy the mountains, for trial and enduro lovers but also to ride comfortably”, according to Joan Gurt, Director of Ossa Factory.

The new Explorer from Ossa will be present at the EICMA show in Milan that will be held from November 8 to 13. It will also be at this event when Ossa presents its new Enduro motorcycle launch. These novelties of the clover brand represent a new stage for the company that has financed these launches with its own resources.
