Toni Bou’s Day

The Bou’s overwhelming dominance throughout the four races of the international X-Trial World Indoor championship, where he has climbed to the top of the podium on all occasions, can reward the rider from Montesa on March 12 at the Indoor Trial in Madrid, where he will be able to compete in the Indoor Trial of Madrid. Mathematically I could reach the title (he already has 80 points to 57 for his closest pursuer) with one race left to play.

All eyes will not only be on the driver from Piera, who is historically the one who lifts fans from their seats in the most selective areas, but also on Albert Cabestany and Adam Raga. The Gas Gas rider will try by all means to stop his rival, who is aiming directly for the runner-up position after the advantage acquired in the last races, where Raga himself has not obtained his best times. The Sherco rider, therefore, starts with a comfortable lead and will try to get rid of the thorn of 2011: beating Bou in at least one race. In the previous two years he achieved it in Marseille, but in this edition he was unable to beat the reigning champion.

indoor-madrid-poster1 Jeroni Fajardo and his new Ossa TR 280i will not go unnoticed in their first joint appearance inside the Palacio de los Deportes. The Girona native has already achieved his first podium in Geneva, so he is confident of maintaining his upward trend and bringing his records closer to the head of the race.

Alongside them will be other category riders, such as Takahisa Fujinami (Montesa), who is not having her best season after her neck injury, James Dabill (Beta), which was expected a lot this year and has yet to make it into any qualifying rounds, Michael Brown (Gas Gas), which is having a rather discreet season, and Jack Challoner (Beta), who is becoming the revelation driver of this 2011 season thanks to his fantastic records.

The areas that we will see in the Indoor Trial in Madrid will follow the tone of the last edition, with areas built in natural materials to return the Trial to its classic essence. Thus, we will be able to enjoy some areas made up of stones, railway sleepers and large containers along with those built with metal pieces and that normally make up the indoor circuits. We will also see, as a culmination, the imposing waterfall and the parallel races, which will pit the best drivers in the world against each other in the same area.

We hope to see you all in Madrid cheering on the best riders in the world.
Trialworld will be there to tell you live everything that happens
