Dougie Lampkin is already training on his 2011 Gas Gas EC 300 and has everything ready for his
debut this coming weekend
in top competition. The 34-year-old Briton has a short but intense experience in the world of Enduro, always on the back of a Beta 4T, and has always expressed his desire to be able to ride a 300cc 2T to be more competitive.
This Sunday he will make his debut on a
Gas Gas 300
in the Xtreme Eddy Enduro race, which will be held near Leeds, in West Yorkshire. The circuit will be made up of rocks, logs and other obstacles. The main objective is to prepare thoroughly for the second round of the Indoor Enduro World Championship, which will take place in Barcelona, coinciding with the Indoor Trial, on February 6th.
According to Lampkin: “I am very happy with the performance of the Gas Gas 2T, although I recognize that I am going through a phase of adaptation to the bike and riding style, since all my experience has been focused on 4-stroke bikes. What I’m having the hardest time is getting used to using the rear brake to position the bike well in the corners, as getting used to the engine braking of the 4T I felt very strange at the beginning.”
