The news that Alfredo Gómez, reigning Junior Trial World Champion, was left without a team for 2013 broke at the end of last December, leaving no room for reaction to a rider who has a fixed place to compete in the 2012 Indoor Trial World Championship. Since then, Alfredo has not stopped looking for solutions to his situation, coming as a private rider on his bike from last year in the first three races of the 2012 World Championship.
The only thing that Alfredo has made clear so far is a hopeful contract with Husaberg to compete in the national Enduro, in addition to all the national and international extremes. As far as the Trial is concerned, the rider from Madrid is very close to closing a possible collaboration with Gas Gas, where it would not be framed in the factory team, but with the support of a third party that is not yet determined.
Although this situation may be encouraging, the reigning champion will not be allowed to cover the World Cup or the national championship in its entirety, but only to participate in specific events. Perhaps this will be a turning point in Alfredo’s sporting career and in 2013 he will end up dedicating himself entirely to Enduro, where he has already convinced with his skills, but Trial fans will not stop supporting him to finish his career where he started: in Trial.
Alfredo’s case is a bad example for the entire pool of riders who fight to make a place for themselves in this exclusive and demanding sport, where it is proven that talent and success do not mean a guarantee of the future.

Since that day I haven’t stopped wandering, sending emails and wasting batteries on my mobile phone to try to find a team on complicated dates when everyone has everything closed for next year…
The result of all the operations I have done is that in 2012 I will race with a Husaberg to face the Cto España de Enduro, all the national and all the international extremes.
Since 6 years ago the Spanish Federation began to help me by joining the National Team I do trials at the highest level, I have achieved 2 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, a EUROPEAN and I have won the national trial in all categories except the queen, I have won international tests such as the “2 days of Arinsal” and I have achieved a TOP TEN in the SSDT in my first participation, But above all this I have grown as a person, thanks to my family, motorcycle racing and my friends.
This does not mean goodbye to trial since my intention is to continue helping my sister Sandra to be number one, you can also see me in some Spanish Championship giving battle, in long duration races and in the SSDT for which I am already registered and aspire to win on some occasion.
