According to different sources published in their digital editions, citing a businessman who informed La Vanguardia and family sources, the athlete was in Switzerland practicing this specialty of jumping into the void dressed in a wingsuit when the accident occurred.
Álvaro Bultó, in addition to being the son of Paco Bultó, founder of Bultaco and Montesa, was the uncle of Sete Gibernau and cousin of the award-winning Trial rider Manuel Soler. The latter made Trial history by being the first Spanish rider to win a world championship race.
