On this day 18 years ago, Amós Bilbao wins the Scottish Six Days of Trial (SSDT).
Today marks the 18th anniversary of an anniversary for Montesa and Amós Bilbao: On May 11, 2002, Amós Bilbao became the third Spanish rider to win the legendary Scottish Six Days Trial after Toni Gorgot and Jordi Tarrés, and the fourth Montesa rider in the almost 100 years of SSDT history at the time, after Malcom Rathmell (1979), Yrjo Vesterinen (1980) and Toni Gorgot (1983). Amós Bilbao achieved it at the controls of a

Amós Bilbao:
“One of my best moments as a trial rider is the victory I achieved in the Scottish Six Days in 2002. Time passes for everyone, for some more than for others. My bike is still competitive as it was then, I am not so competitive. But I’m still having fun, riding bikes, doing trials and enjoying my 4RT now. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the people who helped me during my sporting career, the organisers, motorcycle clubs who continue to try to keep the flame alive and above all the people of Montesa Honda for all the help during these almost 22 years that I have been a test rider”
