Bittersweet Scottish Pre-65 Edition

The 2013 edition ScottishPre65

Complications came in the Kinlochleven area due to heavy rains and the consequent torrents of water that were generated after opening the dam.  On the second day, contrary to expectations, the terrain was much better than on the first, but The decision made an unprecedented cancellation decision in the competition’s 29-year history.

At first it was decided not to compete in the 30 planned sections, but to make two laps of the 15 sections, but in the end this alternative plan would not even be fulfilled and the drivers would only make one pass through this route.

Therefore, it was a bittersweet end to one of the most emblematic and long-awaited races, with no moral or economic reward for all the drivers who had travelled to Fort William. Sportingly, the victory after this 15-zone race went to James Noble with 9 points, followed by Leslie Winthrop with one more and, completing the podium, the veteran Spanish driver Carlos Casas, with 12 points on his card.
