The Spanish Trial Championship returned to action in an iconic setting for competition trials in Spain, Pobladura de las Regueras, located in the region of El Bierzo, province of León. The Motoclub Pobladura R. impeccably managed two independent days of competition with more than 170 registered riders, with two well-differentiated routes according to the levels, very few queues and great activity around the paddock to the delight of the general public. In the mountains, areas of water, earth, rock and a lot of demand due to the low traction of this terrain, which favored the high scores.
In the top category, TR1, GASGAS rider Jaime Busto dominated on both days. On the first day he had a race from less to more, signing a spectacular second set of only three points that allowed him to add the twenty points of victory. On the second day of the race, the gap to second-placed Gabriel Marcelli was even wider and this allows him to leave León with a ten-point lead over Raga, who was second and third, respectively, on his return to competition after a break due to injury. The podium was completed on the first day by Gabriel Marcelli. In the top 5 on both days we find Jorge Casales, fifth and fourth, as well as Aniol Gelabert, fourth on Saturday, and Miquel Gelabert, fifth on Sunday.
ELECTRIC MOTION PROFICIENCY IN TR2 AND TR3
The French Electric Motion rider, Gael Chatagno, competed in his first race of the Spanish TR2 Trial Championship in Pobladura de las Regueras. His performance could not have been more brilliant, signing two solid victories with his electric bike, confirming the good feelings he has also shown in the world championship, where he climbed to the second step of the podium in Trial2 during the first day of the Andorran GP.
Along with Gael, on the podium, Gil Vila was in second position on Saturday and third on Sunday, which allows him to leave Pobladura de las Regueras as leader of the category. Next to Gil, on the podium, we find Pau Dinares on Saturday (third) and David Fabián on Sunday (second).
In TR3 we also have dominance of Electric Motion, in this case through Rodrigo Marchal, who won with great authority in Pobladura de las Regueras and is firmly on the way to the title of the category, with 43 points away from Carlos Monreal, who was second and third this weekend. Also in the spotlight was Cristian Naranjo, who alternated podium positions with Monreal.
