Electric Motion entrusts Trialworld with the official presentation of its 2024 range

Electric Motion Trialworld Store

Last Friday we witnessed another great moment in the history of Trialworld, as it was the fact of organizing and promoting the first official presentation of Electric Motion in Spain with its new 2024 range and the presence of Marc Colomer, Trial World Champion in 1996 and product manager of the brand.

The presentation of the range took place over two consecutive days.

On Friday, we convened at the Trialworld Store to all fans so that they could see first-hand the 2024 range of Electric Motion and also attend an exclusive talk with Marc Colomer and Jorge Rodríguez (EM importer in Spain), where we analyzed technical and evolutionary aspects of the trial bike, with emphasis on the operation of the electric trial motorcycle, its technology, challenges, advantages and disadvantages.

All this, argued and duly explained by experts. Marc Colomer, as an expert figure in the development of trial bikes for more than 30 years, and Jorge Rodríguez, who is also an expert in everything related to batteries, their possibilities and those doubts that are common among fans with such a relatively young product.

On Saturday we held a trial course at Trialworld School, where there were demo units of the brand to test and, in addition, Marc Colomer gave a great master class for all attendees, gradually accompanying each of the groups by levels.

KEY POINTS ELECTRIC MOTION 2024

The electric trial bike manufactured by Electric Motion has exceeded all expectations, both in competition and in the commercial field.

With more than 1,500 manufactured in 2022, two 2023 Spanish championship titles and podiums in the world championship, the acceptance of these motorcycles is no longer questionable, but rather enriches the offer and options of motorcycles for the user, providing a plus of environmental conciliation, more technology to customize the response of the engine and more simplicity for extremely basic maintenance.

We talked to Marc Colomer about all this, including how these bikes evolve and what the outlook will be for the future, when environmental regulations put combustion engines in an extreme compromise to be homologated.

The dynamic test that we carried out on Saturday, also together with Marc, coinciding with a course at Trialworld School, was very productive and our students were able to test this technology in the field, which Colomer explained well.

You can find out more about the models and availability of the Electric Motion 2024 range here. Trialworld is the brand’s official dealer.

Electric Motion Epure 2024

The Electric Motion EPure is the brand’s trial range. It has a 1.9 Wh battery that gives it an approximate autonomy of 3 – 4 hours on the wheel, with an equivalent of 1.5 liters on a traditional trial motorcycle fuel tank.

The engine develops a peak power of 11Kw and has six power maps, whose configurations allow it to emulate different displacements.

In addition, in the Electric Motion EPure Race 2024 model, it receives new connectivity and allows multiple parameters of these maps to be adjusted via app, in addition to having precise control of the bike in terms of hours of use, battery status and other data.

Both EPure are equipped with a mechanical clutch and automatic transmission, which allows performance tailored to the rider, comparable and even superior to any thermal motorcycle on the market.

The novelty of this 2024 is the arrival of the Electric Motion EPure Sport, with steel Tech fork (aluminum in the Race), Tech shock absorber (instead of Reiger) and the connectivity we know from 2023 (without an app but with the possibility of equipping these electronics). Its great advantage is the price, as it comes on the market with a price of €9,890

All Electric Motion licences are approved, can be registered and can be driven with an A1 or B licence and two years of experience.

Electric Motion Escape 2024

The Escape range is the trial excursion variant produced by Electric Motion. Starting from the base of the same engine, chassis and chassis of the trial bike, but with small modifications in the bodywork and, above all, at the battery level.

The Escape range is equipped with a 2.7Wh battery, which provides an extra hour of autonomy compared to its EPure sibling. This increase in autonomy is associated with a greater volume of the battery itself, which has been used to service the seat of the motorcycle, thus leaving a perfectly integrated set with an ideal center of gravity.

New for 2024 is the Electric Motion Escape S, which unlike its sibling, the Escape R, and the EPure, does not have a mechanical clutch, but an electronic clutch that is really a progressive regenerative brake. In other words, if we press the left paddle on the handlebars, the bike performs a progressive braking that acts on the engine and generates a recharge of the battery, thus increasing the range. The Escape R does have a mechanical clutch.

Another novelty is that the Escape S is now not equipped with trial tires, but with Michelin Anakee Wild, providing more versatility and stability at high speed, while maintaining great grip.

Both models are equipped with the EM Connect connectivity system, which allows power, response and speed data to be manipulated from Electric Motion’s own APP.

The price of the 2024 Electric Motion Escape S is €11,200 and the price of the Electric Motion Escape R is €11,900
