Journalist Giulio Mauri dies

giulio_mauri_trialworldis once again in mourning. Giulio Mauri, head of Trials at the Italian Motorcycling Federation, president of the Monza Motoclub and one of the sport’s most passionate and beloved journalists, has left us.

Giulio was a regular journalist at World Championship races, standing out for his friendliness, smile and outgoing personality. We have shared many races and moments with him, so we can say that he leaves us a great ambassador of our sport.

Giulio died yesterday, Saturday, June 30 at 5:30 p.m. during a classic motorcycle competition in Vallelunga, near Rome, during a very hot day. The journalist collapsed before entering one and it was impossible to revive him; Giulio finally left us after a heart attack.

We want to send our condolences to all the family, the rest of the journalists, friends and especially to all the Italian fans, who in 2012 have also suffered the great loss of another reference: Diego Bosis.

Farewell, Giulio.
