Meier jumped the Swissotel buildings separated by 30 meters and 117 meters high in front of the ground. Overcoming her fear of heights, the athlete encouraged everyone to grab life by the horns and fulfill their dreams.
Keity Meier is convinced that this challenge will help her change her boundary to compete in the World Championships in 2022 and aim for the podium, as she explains: “This achievement helped me reach a whole new mental level. I was very calm as I concentrated to perform the trick and I did it as I had practiced it in the woods many times before. I experienced the loss of the perception of movement, but I had everything under control from the beginning to the happy ending.” The previous record dates back to 1989, when a jump was made in Las Vegas from the roof of a 16-story building.
"It's important for young people to find their way into the sport and continue the tradition of motorsport in general."
How was the preparation?
The rider commented on her preparation before the big record.I prepared for this all summer practicing on a ramp we built in the woods until I was convinced that I was technically and physically ready, but above all mentally, ready to make a jump to the height of 117 meters.”
AS A REFERENCE
Keity Meier hopes that this new challenge will help all young athletes understand that there are no limits either in their personal development or in the development of their sports field. “It’s important that committed young people find their way into the sport and continue the tradition of motorsport in general,” said the driver.
