Laia goes for the eleventh title

laia_sanz_400Laia Sanz is already in Germany to compete in the first of the three races that make up the Women’s Trial World Championship calendar, where she will fight for her eleventh crown in this specialty. At the same time, the Women’s European Championship will also be played, which if it is noted would already be its tenth. Undoubtedly, we are in a month of Trial where the women are the protagonists and, although Laia’s superiority detracts from the excitement of these contests, it is very clear that the level of the riders and areas is truly high.

Laia is in excellent shape after her victory in the women’s category in the last Dakar Rally and having competed in the absolute World Championship in the Junior category and also the European Championship. The fact that she is the only girl in these contests shows that Laia’s level is much higher than that of her female rivals.

“I don’t have many feelings about this race, as I haven’t competed there for 11 years and it could have changed a lot in that time,” said Laia Sanz about her participation in the German GP. “In fact, my only memory is negative because I lost the race, so I hope to make up for it and get the win now. In these championships you have to give it your all, as there are only three scoring races and a bad result conditions your chances a lot.”

After the German GP, the next round will be the weekend of August 27-28 in the Czech Republic, where the last round of the European Championship and the second round of the World Championship will be held, which will close in Italy on September 16. A day later, on the 17th, the Trial of Nations will be held.
