Matteo Grattarola returns to Beta to complete the 2023 season

Just a few days ago, the bilateral rupture between Matteo Grattarola and Vertigo Motors was confirmed, after only six months of alliance.

The Italian rider had an excellent 2022 season, where he precisely achieved a victory in the TrialGP World Championship, something that had not happened with an Italian rider for almost three decades. At the end of the season, with the departure of Jaime Busto as Vertigo Motors‘ number one driver, the brand looked to the Italian driver for a replacement with experience, talent and top-level sporting aspirations.

However, the duo has not been comfortable. Due to disagreement between the parties, the difficulty of reconciling the distance between the driver’s residence and the factory, in addition to other aspects that have not transcended, caused the hasty decision just a few days before the San Marino GP.

RETURN TO BETA MOTORS

Just a couple of days later, Beta Motor has announced the addition of the Italian rider to the factory team, driving a 2023 Beta EVO 300 Factory from this weekend.

For Grattarola the adaptation will be easy, as he was riding a virtually identical bike six months ago. It will be very interesting to see what role the Italian rider can play at the home GP at the controls of the new EVO. His aspiration is the same as at the beginning of the season, which is to be in podium positions and look for a new victory to liven up a season that has started with very discreet results both outdoors and indoors.

NEW BETA EVO FACTORY 2023

Grattarola will ride this Beta EVO Factory 2023, a bike that presents interesting novelties in its mechanics, having modified a multitude of internal components to gain inertia and improve response at low revs. We also have novelties in the exhaust system, equipping a titanium manifold, and in the chassis part, with new front fork and other new body details.
