New Gas Gas TXT Pro 2002

Gas Gas TXT PRO 2002 The year 2002 was one of the most important and decisive in the history of Trial for Gas Gas.txtpro02 The launch of a very ambitious project, mass-producing what would be the lightest Trial bike ever made, also lowering the psychological figure of 70 kilos of weight on the scales.

Adam Raga piloted a prototype in 2001 that would go into production the following year. The new TXT bore the “Pro” name and received important changes from its predecessor, which would also continue to be offered in 2002 under the name “TXT Edition”.

Among the most important changes of the Gas Gas TXT Pro 2002 is the chassis, of smaller dimensions, with an oval section and an appearance that was largely reminiscent of the 80 cc model  .

The engine was also profoundly modified , becoming much smaller, especially the crankcases, favoured by a new 6-speed gearbox gear system that uses only three pinions for its drive, i.e. half of the usual.

The clutch was also renewed. The brake discs were drilled in the internal saw style and the crown and pinion were also replaced to increase their lightness.

Another important detail of the Gas Gas TXT Pro 2002 was theaddition of a new air filter box with access from the fender itself and narrower in overall dimensions.

Overall, the revamped Gas Gas Pro 2002 achieved a weight reduction of approximately 8 kilos compared to the Gas Gas TXT 2001, leaving it with a total of approximately 69 kilos.
