New horizons

editorial0702We have just closed a very important week for the competition and all the fans. The dominance of Toni Bou, who is destined to be the most successful and beloved rider of all time (with the permission of the rest of the great champions, such as Lampkin, Tarrés, etc.) for his technique, talent, motivation, perseverance and, above all, for his results.
Toni has won it all so far in 2011
. And not just any way; his records in the Indoor Trial of Barcelona, held yesterday on a very demanding circuit, support the theory that the more the level of the sections increases, the more difference Toni makes to his rivals.

The other positive note is Fujinami’s return to competition after his neck injury. We must also congratulate Cabes and Raga, who have once again starred in a beautiful fight that, without a doubt, will continue during the next three rounds of the Indoor X Trial World Championship with the aim of winning the number “2” (as long as Toni continues to do his homework well).

bou_indoor_2From the Quote From Barcelona we take two more positive notes: the great reception by the fans in the celebration of Two simultaneous indoor world championships (Trial & Enduro) and Alfredo Gómez’s role (Husaberg) taking third place in the final of a specialty where he does not have the draws of his rivals. Over time, the potential of this rider is very high. We’ll see what can do more: the passion of Trial or the results in Enduro. In any case, Alfredo will be on his Montesa giving his all in the 2011 World Cup. We wish him all the luck in the world.

The 20,000 fans who have gathered in Barcelona is a good sign that this “100% offroad” formula works and the public appreciates the fusion of both shows. Let’s hope that in times to come it will be noted and the audience of these events will continue to rise, which is what we all want.

BornPersonally,
I couldn’t close this editorial without telling you some important news
these days. To those of you who know me from these years you know that I have been collaborating with Moto Verde for almost 8 years as a Trial specialist, testing for you all the standard motorcycles and some other official ones, in addition to having punctually covered national and international championships. Well, this journey has come to an end. The differences in approach, together with a progressive lack of motivation and the “great competition” that, in the opinion of Moto Verde, TRIALWORLD poses has led me to make this decision. All that lack of motivation is the strength that has led me to fulfill the dream of shaping TRIALWORLD; A magazine that can finally boast of offering interesting content of its own creation, where the fan is the center of all the content and can also participate proactively in it.

inauguracion_mgProof of this is the report on “Young Trial Promises”, where we continue to receive applications to join the team of
future champions
. If this is your case, or you are the father of a talented young man, we look forward to hearing from you.

Don’t miss the new chapter of school that Jordi Pascuet has prepared for us. The topic to be covered is “balance”, with all the tips and tricks to continue progressing your riding technique.

Likewise, the “ amateur classics” section is still active, which aims to bring together the
best stories of Trial Clásico
and all the photos you want to send us to publish. To participate, you already know that this is the contact email.

Finally, we want to thank all of you who were at the opening of TRIALWORLD at Le Margon Club this Saturday and remind you that we continue to send TRIALWORLD and GRO stickers to everyone who registers
on the web. To do this, you must send us an email with your postal address and we will be happy to send you the promised material.

Greetings and happy week!
