A good part of the changes are common with its 4-stroke sibling, the SY 250F, such as the new variable diameter handlebar with flanges that allow four different positions, or the new Sachs shock.
Mechanically, work has been done on the exhaust system, redesigning its internal part, optimizing the performance of this popular Yamaha engine.
