New Scorpa SY 280R 2013

SCORPA2013Scorpa Later than usual and timidly, Scorpa has presented a conservative 2013 Trial range with little new compared to its predecessor.

As we explain in this article on the history of Scorpa, the brand was acquired by Sherco in 2009 and since the following edition its classic Yamaha engine gave way  to a Sherco’s own engine. The decision was not to mount the latest evolution of the Sherco engine, but the one used by the brand until 2009.

The rumour at the beginning of the season about the possibility of Raga landing at Scorpa, together with the leak of a Sherco with Scorpa aesthetics ridden by Bruand, foreshadowed that 2013 was probably a year of change for the French brand.

Finally, an aesthetic renovation has been opted for where the color white has been given greater prominence.

We tell you all about the Scorpa SY 280R in this exclusive Trialworld test.
