Presentation of Gas Gas TXT Racing 2014

Gas Gas has surprised everyone with the launch of the TXT Racing 2014 at the same time as the standard 2014 TXT model. The Gas Gas Racing saga has been launched continuously since 2010 at the beginning of the year to satisfy the most demanding trial riders, but this year Gas Gas has chosen to present it alongside the standard range, thus offering two alternatives directly to the user.

One of the important novelties presented by the 2014 range refers to weight reduction, a welcome reason for any new model. In this case, a New design of the front suspension flanges, lightens the overall weight without detracting from performance. Moving on to the A major change is the repositioning of the shock oil tank. The experience of the racing team has shown the importance of moving it away from any external source of heat, improving its operation by 80%.
Reiger has built the new 2014 TXT Racing shock to achieve that goal. Consequently, the rear suspension settings have been revised to improve stability and ease of following the trajectory to be traced.
Continuing in the cycle part, this new TXT Racing 2014 model includes the new Galfer Wave 2013 brake disc, which has also been implemented in the Replica Factory model. The disc is lighter and, together with the front monoblock caliper, achieves more precise braking, offering better control to the rider. The rear crown is still in accordance with the FIM regulations, applying an adhesive on both sides that perfectly simulates the spokes and prevents the entry of dirt, making it a race-ready bike.

The TXT Racing 2014 also acquires, like the 2013 Replica Factory, the new brake system with a new, more ergonomic master cylinder, finished in anodized black and with the tank cap in titanium anodized aluminum, in addition to the rear caliper that comes with the exclusive system ‘AutoStand’ developed by Gas Gas, It makes it easy to quickly change the rear wheel.

The chassis is sealed to protect the steering column from loss of bearing lubrication and ingress of water and dirt, making it more durable. As usual, the new 2014 TXT Racing is presented with a new livery.
Changes are also made to the engine section. The new filter box offers better airflow and gives greater progressivity in the power curve. The inner cover that protects the air filter has been adapted on this TXT Racing model to facilitate its maintenance, in the same way that it has been applied in the Replica Factory 2013. On the other side of the handlebar We find the new clutch master cylinder with identical finish to the brake pump, black anodized and titanium cover, also offering an ergonomic improvement for the rider.
The Racing models are fitted with the same exhaust system as the Replica Factory, which was extensively tested at the Scottish Six Days of Trial with excellent results. And also after the good results obtained with the Replica model with the Keihin carburetor, this is also mounted on the 250cc model. The mapping has been revised and adjusted to the new configuration.
The TXT Racing 2014 model takes some of the improvements presented by the Replica Factory model , such as the light switch, which has been integrated into the side protectors, making it much easier to access the device. As a result, the Renthal handlebar is much freer and contains only the essentials.
