, the new range debuts a completely redesigned mechanics and interesting technical solutions that join the many details of this limited edition.
The limited edition “SSDT” will be prized among collectors for its sentimental value and among racers for the interesting list of finishes that Sherco has proposed to combat the harsh weather conditions of the Scottish terrain.
Its long liaisons, laborious skill zones and special terrain characteristics make this race a real challenge for riders and a relentless test of endurance for bikes that require special preparation to be able to face the six days of competition with guarantees.
The experience in recent years of Sherco with 6 victories since 1998 -heir to the mythical Bultaco Sherpa 8 times winners in the Scottish-, and the participation of numerous riders with the bikes of Caldes de Montbui, has allowed us to gather important information for the preparation and tuning of the bikes for the harsh conditions of the Scottish race.
In this way, with the base of the Sherco ST2011, essential elements have been incorporated for smooth operation throughout the tiring six days of competition and to resist the sticky Scottish mud.
The Sherco Scottish limited series incorporates fender extensions, cylinder protector, as well as protectors in the most abrasion-prone areas. The new version incorporates a special decoration commemorating the centenary of the Scottish, a race in which Sherco, as it has been doing in recent years, will carry all the logistics and equipment to provide assistance to all the participants of the brand in this special edition.
Since its debut in 1998, Sherco has managed to be the benchmark brand in the event par excellence in off-road motorcycling such as the Six Days Scottish Trial, an emblematic event that in 2011 celebrates its centenary since the first edition was held in 1909.
