The crisis caused by the global coronavirus pandemic continues to punish the world of sport. The FIM has been forced to suspend or postpone motorcycling events in all disciplines, and this restriction also extends to trials.
The trial world championship began on May 23 and 24 in the Czech town of Sokolov, an event that for the moment is announced as postponed, not canceled, by the FIM.
The second test, scheduled for June 6-7 in Motegi, Japan, is also provisionally suspended. This race also involves a great deal of logistical and economic planning for brands.
The third Grand Prix was the Andorra Grand Prix, which was due to be held on 21 and 22 June, and has also been postponed.
The FIM is now studying how these three races can be held at the end of the year and thus avoid the definitive suspension of these events.
After these postponements, the World Cup would begin on July 4 and 5 in the Italian town of Tomezzo. A week later, the British GP will be held in Tong, and in August, from 28 to 30, in Cahors, France.
The closing of the 2020 World Cup is scheduled for September 5 and 6 in Pobladura de las Regueras (León – Spain).
