During this coming weekend, on the 28th, 29th and 30th, the twenty-ninth edition of the Trial of Nations will be held in Moutier (Switzerland) with the fantastic news that more participating countries will meet than in any other edition .
The World Team Championship has been held since 1984 and involves both men’s (Sunday) and women’s (Saturday) teams. The latter will fight on Friday for the last round of the 2012 World Championship. Although the title is already sealed in favour of Laia Sanz , another Spanish rider, Sandra Gómez, will try to fight for third place in the championship.
In the men’s Trial of Nations there will be, as usual, two categories: absolute (world) and a second called Trophy Group. In the first, the best 5 countries ( Spain, Great Britain, Italy, Norway and France) will participate and in the second, with simpler zones, by 18 (Sweden, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, Poland, Ireland, Denmark, Latvia, Luxembourg, Belgium, Canada, Venezuela, Brazil and South America -Colombia, Honduras, Ecuador and Guatemala-).
The Spanish squad will be made up of Bou, Raga, Fajardo and Cabestany. In the women’s team will be Laia Sanz, Sandra Gómez and Mireia Conde.
