Toni Bou arrives at the third round of the 2021 Trial World Championship as the leader of the standings after two races.
For the rider from Piera, the performance of his leg is still unknown, as he continues to recover from the fibula injury that forced him to undergo surgery.
Toni himself hopes that, as it is only one day of racing, instead of two as in France, his physique responds better to physical exertion.
ABOUT THE FRENCH TRIAL GP
Toni Bou, who has won twelve times in France, will be looking to equal Dougie Lampkin and Adam Raga as the riders with the most wins in France. The Catalan rider is confident that the route of the Charade circuit can be adjusted to his style and thus be able to maintain the leadership of the top championship.
The new regulations for this season affect the route, which will have, unlike last season, only two laps of a total of 12 sections. The maximum time allowed to complete the first lap will be two and a half hours. After a 15-minute break for refreshments, the second pass to the areas will take place in one hour and 45 minutes, with the maximum total time allowed per rider being 4h30m. Unlike the Italian GP, there will be only one day of competition in France.

Toni Bou: "The first two races in Italy went very well, I would even say they were better than we expected. Now more days have passed since the operation and everything should be consolidated. We have continued to prepare physically for a championship that we know will be demanding. In France, with only one day of racing, I hope it will be better for me, but we saw in Tolmezzo that there is a lot of equality and there can always be surprises. Let's hope to see each other on the podium again."
