The last edition of the Barcelona Indoor Trial marked a new milestone in the history of the modality by hosting a 100% indoor women’s trial competition for the first time and this 2022 it has done it again.
The second consecutive edition of the Women’s Trophy Barcelona has been very exciting as the public has wanted to see the great rematch between Emma Bristow and Berta Abellán, the first and second classified 5 months ago.
Last season the victory was decided by just one point in favour of the Briton, 7-time WomenTrialGP World Champion.
PARTICIPATING PILOTS
The riders who have been part of this new edition have been: Sandra Gómez from Madrid and Naomi Monnier from France and Andrea Sofia Rabino from Italy, 2021 World Champion in Women Trial2 and debutant replacement for Norwegian Ingveig Hakonsen, who is out due to injury.
On this occasion, the five pilots faced four areas, two with stones or logs and two with concrete.
This season, the victory has once again been awarded to the British Sherco rider, ahead of Naomi Monnier and Andrea Sofia Rabino. On this occasion, Abellán has fallen and has finished far from the places of honor, as fifth classified.
